Legal Information
Your privacy and trust matter to us. Read our policies to understand how we protect your data and outline our service terms.
Privacy Policy
At NRGGrab we take your privacy seriously. This summary explains how we handle personal data collected through our website and services (including the contact form).
What we collect
- Contact form data: name, email, subject and message (if provided).
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device information and timestamps.
- Transaction data: where applicable, basic transaction records (we do not store full card data).
How we use your data
- To respond to enquiries submitted via our contact form and provide customer support.
- To investigate and prevent fraud or abuse of the service.
- To optimise our website and services.
Lawful basis
We process data where necessary for our legitimate interests (for example, to respond to contact enquiries and maintain service security). Where we ask for consent (for marketing), we will rely on that consent and you may withdraw it at any time.
Security
We use HTTPS/TLS for data in transit, restrict access to stored data, and apply accepted technical controls. Forms and back-end systems use prepared statements and server-side validation to reduce abuse and injection risks.
Terms of Service
Welcome to NRGGrab. By using our power bank rental service, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
1. Service Description
NRGGrab provides portable power bank rental services through self-service stations located in various venues across the UK. Users can rent a power bank by tapping a contactless payment card at any station and return it to any NRGGrab station within our network.
2. Rental Process & Pricing
- Unlock Fee: £3 (charged immediately upon rental, covering the first hour)
- Hourly Rate: £1.00 per hour thereafter
- Daily Cap: £8 maximum per 24-hour period
- Pre-authorisation: Your £30 deposit release is initiated immediately upon return. Most users see it back within 10 minutes, though some banks may take up to 24 hours.
- Late Return Fee: If not returned within 72 hours, a £30 replacement fee will be charged
3. User Responsibilities
You agree to use the power bank sensibly and for its intended purpose. You must not damage, modify, or tamper with the power bank, nor attempt to reverse-engineer the device. Doing so will result in the forfeiture of your licence to use our service.
Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy outlines prohibited behaviours when using NRGGrab's services.
You must not:
- Use the service for any illegal or unauthorised purpose
- Attempt to damage, disable, or impair any NRGGrab station or power bank
- Use fraudulent payment methods or engage in payment disputes without valid reason
- Initialise rentals with the intent to resell or redistribute power banks
- Interfere with other users' ability to access the service
Refund Policy
All rentals are final once a power bank is dispensed from a station. However, we understand that issues may arise, and we handle refund requests on a case-by-case basis.
Eligible Refund Scenarios
- You received a faulty or dead power bank and returned it within 5 minutes
- You were charged incorrectly due to a system error
- The station malfunctioned and charged you without dispensing a power bank
- You were unable to return the power bank due to all nearby stations being full (with proof)
Approved refunds will be processed within 5-10 business days and returned to the original payment method. To request a refund, please use our secure contact form.
